Solar System Walk

| The purpose of this activity is to get a sense of the size and scale of the objects in the solar system by walking through a scale model in Monkspath. Starting at the school a football will represent the Sun and the rest of the solar system is represented to this scale. The following planets will be represented Mercury; Venus; Earth; Moon; Mars; Jupiter; Saturn; Uranus;Neptune;Pluto |

| We have arranged a step back in time for a day’s fossil hunting on the Jurassic Coast in Devon, plus a ramble exploring part of the South West Coastal Path. As well as this we’ve also arranged for interactive visits to both Buckland Abbey (former home of Sir Francis Drake) Plymouth, and Chedworth Roman Villa where as well as tours, a session brass rubbing, we can explore the vast grounds and surrounding areas. We will leave on the Friday night, camping for the weekend returning Monday pm. Camp cost is £ 65 and this covers transport, camping, entrance fees and all meals.
